Sunday morning’s should always start with brunch. One of the best brunch spots in Auckland is the much loved Odettes.
Owned by husband and wife Joost and Clare Van Den Berg, Odette’s has a great indoor/outdoor flow and relaxed ambiance.
With an industrial, chic feel the large glass atrium allows light to flood into the space. Accents of blue in the furnishings give the place a softer feel.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner you are spoiled for choice with the extensive menu on offer.
The Odettes Complete comes with your choice of eggs, heirloom tomato, avocado, bacon and sourdough. Plus the best accompaniment of them all – whipped feta.
God must have invented whipped feta as it is the most delicious thing you will try. The eggs were poached to perfection and the bacon was beautifully crisped.
The House Smoked Salmon came with pickled pear, cucumber, puffed rice and piccalili and of course we got a side of the whipped feta. A nice, light dish if you’re watching the waistline.
And if you’re not watching the waistline, one of Odettes signature dishes and one we can never leave without is the Triple Cooked Chips coated in Berbere spice, honey mustard and curry leaves.
With lots more things on the menu I’d love to try like the vanilla crepe and the honey granola, I’ll definitely be back.
